Making a dvd to dvd and Using dvd shrink 7 HOURS????

Im am using dvd shrink and it is in encoding mode?? dont really know what that is but the time left keeps going up now it is at about 7 hours why is it taking so long what else should i try or is it suposed to take this long???? Thanks
