How does the current struggle by gay people for equal rights compare to the black civil rights movement?

I do not recall Gays being forcibly taken from there Home land and sold into slavery. Most of there problems they have brought on to there selves. Blacks marched for the freedom to Vote and Integrated schools and lunch counters . Gays March because there trying to force there life styles on society as normal and accepted.
