AC stopped working Carrier 58EFB075 - green wire at control board is disconnected - my 58EFB125 it's connected?

green wire should be connected to the "G" terminal for normal indoor blower operation...the green wire has nothing to do with the outdoor unit coming on except that if the indoor blower fails to come on or fails to move enough air then the outdoor unit might shut off on a low or high pressure switch...is this a heat pump?,,heating mode??.....dan
