What's a good golf driver to get for an 18 yr old beginnning golfer?

I've golfed a few times before and I used my dad's clubs but he doesn't have a driver so I'm looking to buy a new one. I was wondering the best one for my situation and also if I should just get a new set of clubs for approximately the same price as a new driver.
